Thermage, otherwise known as Radio Frequency Skin Tightening. Tripollar Radio Frequency Technology painlessly delivers focused and optimal radio-frequency (RF) energy to the skin surface and to subcutaneous fat layers. Controlled energy is delivered via three electrodes which heats up the skin below the dermal layer. This focused energy results in the contraction and tightening of the fibroblasts, or the supportive framework of your face which aid in the remodeling and rejuvenation of the facial structure. Skin is firmer and tighter while collagen production is stimulated. Visible benefits are seen in the first treatment but increase with subsequent treatments.  When done with MICROCURRENT results can be dramatic. THERMAGE can be done as a stand alone treatment for $80

WHAT TO EXPECT

ELECTRIC IMPULSES Instruments deliver minute doses of beneficial current to the cells in order to return the tissue to a normal level of electrical activity. You should not feel pain or discomfort but a contracting oof the muscles.​

WARMTH In Thermage you will feel a warm sensation but it never reaches beyond the point of discomfort. The heating of the skin below the dermal layer stimulates collagen, one of the only known ways to actually produce more collagen in the body.

POST TREATMENT REDNESS Your skin will have a slight red or pinkish glow after treatment but subsides within a few hours to 24 hours.

TIGHTENING OF THE SKIN The heating of the subcutaneous level tightens the fibroblasts which gives the face structure and lift. The tightening effects of the fibroblasts will last from a couple days to 2 weeks in preliminary treatments but will multiple treatments the effects last longer.

POST-TREATMENT It is important to avoid sun exposure directly after treatment. Since the application of the BIOLIFT is much like a facial massage, toxins and fluids will be expelled by lymph drainage. Drink lots of water after your treatment to help the process.

PRE-TREATMENT Since BIOLIFT utilizes electric and Radio Frequency impulses via contact of the skin, it is necessary for your skin to be free of long hair as in beards and mustaches. Stubble is fine. The use of Retinoid products must be stopped 2 days prior and subscription Retinol must be stopped 7 days prior. If you are apply an prescription topicals, they must be stopped 2-7 days prior, depending on the medication.  ​
